Have you ever read the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie? Well, yesterday, the Type-A-Mommy version happened around here. It all started as I was writing out Carter and I’s packing list for Blissdom. It occurred to me that I still needed to meal plan for the rest of the family that was staying home. I mean, I could leave them to fend for themselves, hubby’s mom is coming to stay with them, so it’s not like they would be stuck eating PB&J and grilled cheese for four days. But then how would I know what to shop for?
So then I sat down to try to figure this out…and ended up totally ripping apart my meal planning binder and redoing it–complete with fun new printables! That’s right, I said PRINTABLES!
My binder has 5 tabs. I love these Avery 5-tab write-on dividers with pockets. I write my labels on with wet erase markers so I can change them up as needed. And the pockets are handy for sliding in recipe cards, or magazine pages I haven’t filed yet. My favorite thing I incorporated when I redid my binder was include tabs for recipes and resources I find in magazines and other places. It’s so darned handy and I don’t have to store the whole magazine somewhere.
Now, the part you’ve all been waiting for: the PRINTABLES! *and the crowd goes WILD* Okay, maybe not, but I know that’s how I feel. Is there a 12-step program for printable organizing sheets?
So, what do you think? Love ‘em? Hate ‘em? Changes you’d like to see or ideas for future add-ons to the set? Comment and let me know!
